BERG Rally and XL go-karts for ages 4 to adult, delivered in Mayo
Once a child has outgrown a small kart, or was never going to fit one, BERG has two bigger frames. The Rally carries an age guide of 4 to 12 years. The XL runs from 5 years to adult. We sell 3 karts across the two, from €459: the Rally NRG Orange, the Rally DRT Green and the XL B.Pure Blue BFR.
All 3 are pedal karts, held in our own Irish warehouse and delivered free within 48 hours. East West Express of Charlestown, Co. Mayo makes the delivery in Mayo.

Start with who will ride it. If the answer is one child at primary school, the Rally, from €459, is the frame BERG aims at those years. If the answer includes a teenager, a parent or a grandparent, it has to be the XL, from €595, because that is the frame BERG rates to adult.
- Age four: the Rally. The XL's guide begins at five.
- Ages five to twelve: either. Go by the child's height and by whether older riders will share it.
- Over twelve, or an adult: the XL.
- Several children of different ages sharing one kart: the XL covers the widest span.
Between the two Rally karts the frame and age guide are the same. Choose on colour and price, and ask us if you want to know what each one comes with.
What BFR means
BFR is the name BERG gives its hub. It does three things. Pedalling forwards drives the kart. Pedalling backwards brakes it. And once stopped, the kart can be pedalled in reverse, which is handy for backing out of a tight corner of a yard.
On this page BFR is part of the name of the XL B.Pure Blue BFR. We do not state fittings that are not in a model name, so for the Rally karts please read the product page on the shop or ask us.
Too big? The Buddy
For a three-year-old, or a small four or five-year-old, the frame below these is the Buddy, from €299, with a BERG age guide of 3 to 8 years. All five karts are compared on the main go-karts page, and the age-by-age guide takes each year in turn.
Where a bigger kart gets used
An older child covers more ground, so be clear about the limits before the kart arrives. It is for the garden, the yard, a private driveway or other quiet private ground, and never for a public road. These are pedal karts for home and are not built for a motor karting circuit. We could not find such a track in Mayo in any case.
Delivery in Mayo and Christmas dates
Karts ship free and come to the kerbside. Someone must be there to sign, and we confirm the date when you order. If your house is down a narrow lane or a long unpaved drive, say so when ordering. The Mayo delivery page lists the towns we deliver to.
Christmas 2026: order an in-stock kart by Wednesday 16 December for delivery before Christmas. In-stock orders can be collected from our warehouse by appointment until 12 noon on Christmas Eve. A prize draw for a BERG go-kart runs until Thursday 5 November 2026.
Assembly, returns and warranty
We supply and deliver. We do not assemble karts, and BERG's manual covers assembly. Returns are accepted within 14 days: the return delivery is yours to pay for a change of mind, and ours if the kart is faulty, damaged or the wrong one.

Frequently Asked Questions
What ages are the BERG Rally and the BERG XL for?+
BERG's age guide is 4 to 12 years for the Rally and 5 years to adult for the XL. Both guides cover a child from five to twelve, so for those years the choice rests on height and on who else will be riding.
Can an adult ride a BERG go-kart?+
Of the three frames we sell, the XL is the one BERG rates up to adult. The Rally's guide stops at 12 years and the Buddy's at 8.
What does BFR mean on a BERG kart?+
BFR is BERG's hub. Pedal forwards to move, pedal backwards to brake, and the kart can also reverse. Among our karts it is in the name of the XL B.Pure Blue BFR.
What is the difference between the Rally NRG Orange and the Rally DRT Green?+
Both sit on the Rally frame with the same BERG age guide. They differ in colour and in price, and each card on this page shows the price. The product page for each kart on the shop lists what it comes with, or ring 091 423 369 and we will go through the two with you.
Is delivery to Mayo free on a Rally or an XL?+
Yes. Go-karts ship free. They are held in our own Irish warehouse and delivered within 48 hours, in Mayo by East West Express of Charlestown, Co. Mayo.
Can an older child take a pedal kart out on the road?+
No. Whatever the rider's age, a pedal kart is for private ground: a garden, a yard, a private driveway. It should not be used on a public road.
How long is the warranty on a Rally or an XL?+
The warranty is BERG's, as the manufacturer. Ask us for BERG's current warranty terms on karts and we will give you the up-to-date position before you buy.
