BERG trampolines delivered to Belmullet and Erris

Met Éireann's table of weather records lists Belmullet for the highest February gust on record in Ireland, 172 km/h on 9 February 1988, and the highest May gust, 144 km/h on 23 May 2011. The prevailing wind is between south and west. Anyone buying a trampoline for Erris should plan for anchoring from day one.

Peat bog covers most of north-west Mayo, and in our experience a short stake in soft ground does very little, so on peaty or soft ground ask us which kit suits before you order.

Follow BERG's advice: before a heavy storm, remove the padding and the safety net, and check the anchors once it has passed. BERG also notes that a fence or hedge lowers a trampoline's exposure to gusts, and that there should be no jumping in rain or wind.

It is worth considering. Our own anchoring article suggests an in-ground trampoline for an exposed or coastal site, and a FlatGround model sits level with the lawn, so it catches far less wind than one on legs. BERG requires its anchor kit for in-ground models and asks for adequate drainage and a ground-water check. An independent installer assesses the ground on site and quotes you directly.
